TDG stands for Transportation of Dangerous Goods. It refers to the safety requirements and regulations for transporting hazardous materials. These materials include regulated substances classified under the TDGR’s nine classes, from chemicals and flammable liquids to explosives, and other substances that are of risk to health, safety, and the environment. TDG training is a requirement for anyone involved in handling, receiving, or transporting dangerous goods.
How long is TDG certification valid?
Your TDG training certificate is valid for 3 years from the date you successfully complete the course. After 3 years, you’ll need to renew your TDG certification. A valid TDG certificate must have:
The name and address of the employer's place of business;
The employee's name;
The date the training certificate expires, preceded by the words “Expires on” or “Date d'expiration”;
The aspects of handling, offering for transport, or transporting dangerous goods for which the employee is trained; and
The signatures of the employer and the employee.
How long does it take to complete the TDG online training?
It should take learners about 3 hours to complete the course. However, you can move at your own pace, so take as little or as much time as you need.
