Online & Practical Assessments

To obtain full Lifting Device certification, an employer, supervisor, or other qualified person is required to complete a practical evaluation upon completion of any of Danatec’s Lifting Device eLearning courses. Anyone who purchases a course will receive access to an appropriate practical evaluation to achieve full certification in addition to the included online quiz.

Do add-on courses stand as a complete certification?

No. Learners are only qualified to take this add-on certification program if they have a currently valid lifting device course certificate through Danatec. Only then can ad-on courses be taken for additional certifications. Upon completion of the training, learners will receive access to Danatec’s MEWP practical evaluation and process guide to achieve full certification.

Are any in-person assessments needed to be certified?

To obtain full certification, an employer, supervisor, or other qualified person is required to complete a practical evaluation upon completion of the eLearning course.

When does this certification expire?

A full initial Lifting Device certification expires 3-years from the date of your Practical Competency evaluation. Upon completion of an add-on certification program, you will receive a valid training certificate, that will expire on the same date as your initial full certification.

How long does the training take to complete?

Lifting Device courses take an estimated 2 - 5 hours to complete with ad-on courses taking less class time. Additional time will be required for on-site practice, use of devices and practical competency evaluations.
