Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015 provides health and safety information on hazardous materials in the workplace. This industry-recognized WHMIS online course is for any person exposed to these products or might come into contact with them.

Danatec’s WHMIS (GHS) Online Certification Training includes the latest updates required by the amended Hazardous Products Regulations (HPR), which come into effect December 2025.

In Canada, WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) is the national standard for sharing information about hazardous workplace materials. It’s aligned with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) used internationally for classifying and labelling chemicals.

In December 2022, Health Canada introduced changes to the HPR, updating WHMIS 2015. A three-year transition period was set, meaning all Canadian workplaces must fully adopt the new requirements by December 2025.

This course is perfect for both first-time WHMIS learners and those needing re-certification. Study on your own schedule, from any device. You'll learn how to identify hazards, understand labels and SDSs, and respond to emergencies—with the help of real-world scenarios, interactive animations, and practical exercises that bring the material to life.

Course Highlights:

  • Comprehensive WHMIS GHS Canada Coverage: Fully updated to reflect the latest WHMIS legislation and harmonized system of classification requirements.

  • Same-Day WHMIS Certification Online: Complete the 1.5 hour course and receive your certificate and Digital Badge immediately.

  • Engaging, Interactive Content: Features 5 WHMIS story modules based on real events in real workplaces. Includes skill-building exercises, videos, animations, and engaging games.
