Workers involved in ground disturbance activities face many risks. These include trench and excavation cave-ins, hitting buried facilities, and the many dangers that electrical, gas, water, and all other active and inactive buried facilities present. Our Ground Disturbance Level I online course gives you the knowledge, skills and certification needed to safely work on a ground disturbance activity, and contribute to damage prevention.
This is a joint training program developed by Danatec and Global Training Centre. It meets the USP Ground Disturbance 101 Standard (AB). Utility Safety Partners (USP), formerly known as Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA), endorses it as well.
This course material is bilingual, providing learning in both French and English. You will have the ability to select your preferred language once you open the course.

Syllabus
The Ground Disturbance Level I online training program includes five logical modules:

Final Exam: Learners must achieve a passing mark of 80% to receive a certificate of completion. You have three attempts to successfully pass the final exam.

How long does it take to complete the Ground Disturbance Level I training?
It should take learners about 2 hours to complete the course. However, you can move at your own pace, so take as little or as much time as you need.
What if I don’t pass the final exam on my first try?
You have up to three attempts to pass the final exam. Our goal is to ensure you thoroughly understand the material and feel confident about your responsibilities. You’ll need to score at least 80% on the final exam to receive your certificate of completion.
Who should take Ground Disturbance Level I training?
Ground Disturbance Level I is designed for anyone who participates in ground disturbance activities under supervision. This includes construction workers, excavation teams, road builders, oil and gas and utility personnel, to name a few.
