Syllabus
Danatec’s hoisting and rigging training course is organized into four practical modules:
Module 1: Hoisting and Rigging Hazards
Identify common hoisting and rigging hazards
Work through a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) effectively
Module 2: Safe Working Loads (SWLs)
Understand and apply safe working load principles
Perform load calculations and review sling angle factors
Module 3: Hoisting and Rigging Equipment
Select, inspect, and safely use essential rigging equipment like slings and wire rope for a lift
Identify proper equipment usage to avoid accidents and equipment failure
Module 4: Lift Classification and Requirements
Understand the classification of different lifts
Recall the hand signals outlined in CSA Standards
Apply critical rigging practices to ensure safe lifts and prevent accidents
Final Exam & Evaluation
Upon completing all four modules, learners will complete a final exam, requiring a passing score of at least 75%. After the final exam, additional evaluation tools are provided to support hands-on skill assessment.
