Backed by Fleet Safety International’s 40+ years of experience with defensive techniques, real-life scenarios, and strategies to prevent crashes, fatigue, and distractions.
Driver-related incidents remain one of the leading causes of workplace injuries and fatalities in Canada. Whether you’re driving a personal vehicle or operating a commercial truck, challenges like extreme weather, fatigue, distracted driving, and complex safety regulations put drivers at risk every day.
That’s why We Know Training, Danatec, and Fleet Safety International have partnered to deliver Canada’s most trusted driver safety training.
Together, we deliver more than training—we deliver a comprehensive safety solution designed to reduce risk, protect lives, and keep fleets and organizations compliant across Canada.
Drivers across Canada face different provincial and territorial licensing systems, but all share the same need for safer habits and compliance knowledge. That’s where Danatec and FSI come in.
We design safety and compliance training that supports drivers at every licence level—from new drivers to seasoned professionals.
While government programs like Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) are required for earning commercial licences, our courses enhance driver readiness and compliance long after licensing. With a focus on defensive driving, fatigue management, TDG, Hours of Service, and cargo securement, we help organizations and drivers stay ahead of risks, regulations, and audits.
Many commercial and non-commercial drivers must also comply with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations. For more details about our TDG courses and resources, check out our TDG training page.
Our Class 5 (Class G in Ontario) driver safety training helps new and experienced drivers build safer habits behind the wheel. We cover topics like defensive driving, winter driving, and trailer safety. These courses are ideal for experienced individual drivers, new drivers, company vehicle operators, oilfield and rural workers, fleet managers, and drivers seeking Alberta’s 3-demerit reduction certification.
Our Class 1-4 (Class A –D in Ontario) driver training equips transportation professionals, fleet operators, and bus drivers with the skills they need to drive safer and meet transportation regulations. Course topics include inspections, cargo securement, hours of service compliance, and professional driver behaviour.
Danatec's training bundles combine the most in-demand topics to simplify onboarding and compliance for your team of drivers. These curated bundles cover essential safety concepts and are ideal for companies managing fleets or drivers seeking a comprehensive solution.
