Mentally Active Driving Program (Blended)

Description
Online training covers the SAFER™ System, fatigue, complacency, and emergency braking; in-vehicle training includes one-on-one coaching and skid control practice in FSI's own skid vehicle. Completing Online Defensive Driving – Condensed Version is a mandatory prerequisite before the in-vehicle session, which takes place on a gravel track in Calgary, Alberta — participants must supply their own vehicle (an SUV or truck is recommended). Learners receive a certificate of completion and digital badge.
Vehicle requirement: Learners must supply their own vehicle for the practical training component—typically, this will be their company vehicle. Training in the vehicle they drive for work helps make the experience practical and directly applicable to their daily driving. As training takes place on a gravel track, an SUV or truck is recommended.
