Description
This blended program combines self-paced online learning with in-person instructor-led training.
Before you join us in person to practice your skills, our online learning provides a new way to learn CPR/AED training. It includes 3D animations, interactive lessons, and live scenario videos.
Our instructors will guide you through what you learned online. They will help you gain practical skills to use what you learned! Expect about 4.5 - 5.5 hours online and 8 hours in person.

What to Expect (Blended)
Before class — Online learning (must be completed first):
Self-paced eLearning includes 3D animations, interactive lessons, and live videos. These cover the main topics you will practice in class. Topics include CPR/AED, choking, bleeding control, medical emergencies, injuries, and more. Plan for ~4.5–5.5 hours.
Bring proof of completion of the eLearning portion to the in-class session.
In class — Practical skills day (Edmonton)
8:00 AM–4:30 PM (MT) with a 30-minute lunch. Plus, a 15-minute break in the morning and a 15-minute break in the afternoon.
Co-facilitated by an Action First Aid instructor and Danatec instructor.

Hands-on practice and assessments that reinforce the online theory.
After class — Certification:
You will receive a notification when your certificate is available

Do I have to finish the online portion before class?
Yes. Completing the online learning is mandatory to attend the in-person day. You’ll also get a reminder 2 days before your class if it’s not complete.
What does the online training include?
Modern, self-paced lessons with 3D animations, interactive modules, and live-scenario videos that cover the theory you’ll practise in class (CPR/AED, choking, bleeding, medical emergencies, injuries, and more).
Plan for about 4.5–5.5 hours to complete the self-paced eLearning.
How do I access the online modules?
After purchase, you can start learning right away. You’ll also get an email to book your in-person date (if you haven’t already).
What will I learn/practice in class?
Core first-aid topics and hands-on CPR/AED skills, including emergency scene management, choking, bleeding control, burns, head/spinal injuries, and common medical emergencies.
What should I bring to class?
When you come to class, please bring proof of completion of the eLearning component, photo ID, comfortable clothing for kneeling/CPR practice, and a water bottle. You’ll have a 30-minute lunch—bring lunch or plan to visit nearby options.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is parking available on the north and west side of the building. Please come through the front entrance, located on the north-facing side of the building. Our office is located on your immediate right once you walk in.
Do I get a certificate? How is it delivered?
You will receive an email when the certificate is issued and available for download in your account.
Is this recognized by reputable bodies?
As an Action First Aid course, it is WSIB-recognized and CSA-approved.
