Our e-learning course will introduce those Alberta workforce members of a joint work site health and safety committee (HSC) or health and safety representatives (H&S reps) to the knowledge and tools required to conduct effective incident investigations and workplace inspections.

Under the new Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, joint health and safety committees (JHSCs) are mandatory. Key responsibilities of the JHSCs will include participating in incident investigations and performing workplace inspections.

Did you know? As of June 1, 2018, all Alberta employers must now comply with Bill 30. If you own or run a business, you may need to establish a Joint Work Site Health & Safety Committee.  Learn more about Bill 30.
